Glass Roof
Grids can be covered with glass and both structures combined form transparent membrane shells. They span over the interior space in lofty heights like another canopy of heaven. Lightweight glass roofs create climatic envelopes and allow conducting controlled daylight deep into the buildings.
Membrane shells arise from the old desire for support-free roofing. In contrast to the zenithal net-structures, which provoke a grid densification in the middle, the constant meshes of more homogeneous grids produce a quiet, continuous surface.
